Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne are back in the laugh out loud sophomore season of Apple TV+'s hit series "Platonic," debuting today with the first two of its ten episodes. The series follows a pair of former best friends Will, a recovering divorcee, and Sylvia, an unfulfilled stay at home mom, who reconnect in Season 1 after a long hiatus, hilariously navigating their friendship with a huge dose of dysfunction, cynicism, and chaos. New episodes will be released every Wednesday through the season finale on October 1, 2025.
Produced by Sony Pictures Television and created by Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco, this season amplifies the crazy dysfunction that makes Will and Sylvia's irresistable friendship, picking up with Will and Jenna's engagement party that Sylvia is in charge of planning. What could possibly go wrong? Of course, everything! This season continues to explore the ever evolving friendship between the two in their misadventures of codependency, "as they contend with new midlife hurdles, including work, weddings, and partners in crises. The duo tries their best to be each other's rock".
Along for the ride are Luke Macfarlane as Sylvia's husband Charlie, Carla Gallo, Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney, and Beck Bennett as guest stars.

The new season is even more delightfully chaotic yet endearing, as the two besties navigate their personal challenges, anchored by the sheer chemistry between Rogen and Byrne that truly makes the series work and even thrive as one of the best comedic series on television. The humor remains smart, and while we can always expect the reliable slapstick humor from Rogen, who excels in his delivery, it's Byrne who establishes herself as a standout comedic actress, delivering the laughs with emotion and vulnerability, elevating the season with richer, character-driven nuance.
Never teasing us with the possibility of romance, the series continues to prove that some of the best relationships do not require a romantic undertone but can be just as genuine and relatable as a platonic one.
The first two episodes of Platonic are now streaming exclusively on Apple TV+.
