Javier Bardem, Amy Adams, and Patrick Wilson Lead a Chilling Reimagining of the Iconic Psychological Thriller from Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese

Apple TV is turning up the suspense this summer with the highly anticipated premiere of Cape Fear, a gripping new thriller series inspired by the legendary 1962 film and the acclaimed 1991 remake directed by Martin Scorsese. Featuring an all star cast led by Javier Bardem, Amy Adams, and Patrick Wilson, the ten-episode drama debuted on June 5 with its first two episodes.
Based on one of cinema's most unforgettable tales of obsession and revenge, Cape Fear follows Max Cady (Javier Bardem), a convicted murderer who is exonerated after serving 17 years behind bars. Once free, Cady sets his sights on the people he believes destroyed his life: married attorneys Anna and Tom Bowden.
Amy Adams stars as Anna Bowden, the former public defender who represented Cady years earlier, only to later marry prosecutor Tom Bowden (Patrick Wilson), the man whose efforts helped send him to prison. As Cady begins inserting himself into every corner of their lives, the Bowdens find themselves trapped in a terrifying psychological game where no one is safe and every secret becomes a weapon.
Bardem steps into the role made famous by Robert De Niro in Scorsese's 1991 classic, delivering an unpredictable performance that elevates the character's menace for a modern audience. Equal parts charismatic and terrifying, Bardem's Max Cady is a relentless force driven by vengeance and consumed by a desire to make the Bowdens suffer.

The series arrives with an impressive creative pedigree. Executive producers Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese return to the franchise that helped redefine psychological thrillers, bringing fresh intensity to the classic story.
Cape Fear transforms a classic thriller into an entertaining binge worthy series. Each episode steadily raises the paranoia and fear creating a pulse pounding experience that will keep viewers guessing until the very end.
New episodes of Cape Fear are available to stream weekly on Apple TV through July 31.
