Paramount+ Renews Divorced Sistas, Zatima, The Black Hamptons and The Family Business

Paramount+ is keeping the drama coming. 

The streamer has renewed four fan favorite series that have become an important part of its growing Black entertainment lineup, giving audiences more of the relationships, rivalries, family secrets and deliciously messy drama they simply cannot get enough of.

Paramount+ has officially renewed Tyler Perry’s Divorced Sistas for Season 3, Tyler Perry’s Zatima for Season 6, Carl Weber’s The Black Hamptons for Season 3 and The Family Business for Season 7. The announcement is more than a collection of renewals, it signals that these series have successfully carried the audience connection they built on BET+ into their new home on Paramount+.

Divorced Sistas Is Just Getting Started

Few shows have arrived with the kind of immediate impact Divorced Sistas delivered. The Tyler Perry drama made history shortly after its 2025 debut, becoming the most-watched original series premiere in BET+ history. The series also generated 415,000 new subscription starts and delivered tens of millions of social video views, proving that viewers weren't simply watching, they were talking about it.

Led by LeToya Luckett, Khadeen Indréa, Porscha Coleman, Briana Price and Jennifer Sears, Divorced Sistas brings a fresh group of women into the Tyler Perry universe as they navigate divorce, dating, marriage, friendship and the complicated business of starting over. The series has found its sweet spot by mixing emotional storylines with relationship drama that keeps social emdia buzzing. Now, Paramount+ is giving those conversations plenty of room to continue with Season 3.

Zatima Isn't Giving Up the Drama

Then there's Zatima, the fan-favorite Sistas spinoff centered on Zac and Fatima. Their relationship has never exactly been a smooth ride, and that's precisely why viewers keep coming back. With DeVale Ellis and Crystal Renee Hayslett at the center, the series has built a loyal following around love, betrayal, family pressure, complicated friendships and the seemingly endless obstacles standing between its two leads and anything resembling peace. Season 4 continued raising the stakes as Zac and Fatima faced major personal milestones and increasingly dangerous complications. The Black Hamptons Is Getting Another Summer of Secrets

Carl Weber's The Black Hamptons is also getting another opportunity to return to the glamorous and complicated world of Sag Harbor. The series, which explores the tensions between established Black wealth and newcomers entering an elite community, has built its identity around ambition, status, family conflict and secrets that never stay buried for long. Its return is particularly notable because the second season concluded in early 2024, making the announcement of Season 3 a major vote of confidence from Paramount+. For fans who have been waiting to see what comes next for the Britton and Johnson families, that long-awaited return is officially happening.

The Family Business Keeps the Dynasty Alive

The Family Business is the veteran of this particular lineup and the longest running series among the four. Based on Carl Weber's novel, the drama has spent years following the Duncan family through power struggles, criminal enterprises, betrayals and battles for control. With an ensemble that includes Ernie Hudson, Valarie Pettiford, Michael Jai White, Tami Roman, Javicia Leslie and LisaRaye McCoy, the series has become a durable part of the Black television landscape. Paramount+ has renewed The Family Business for Season 7. The series is scheduled to return for Season 6 before its newly ordered seventh season arrives, keeping the Duncan family saga firmly in play.

Paramount+ Is Betting on the Audiences That Built These Shows

Taken together, these renewals represent something bigger than four more seasons of television. They demonstrate the value of Black-led storytelling that has already proven it can build passionate, loyal audiences. The timing is especially significant following Paramount+'s integration of BET+ programming into Paramount+, which brought more than 1,000 hours of BET originals, movies and specials to the platform. Paramount has also reported that engagement among migrated subscribers increased meaningfully after the integration, with new seasons of Divorced Sistas, Zatima and other BET programming helping drive that momentum.

From the complicated friendships of Divorced Sistas and the chaotic romance of Zatima to the wealth, ambition and secrets of The Black Hamptons and the sprawling power struggles of The Family Business, Paramount+ is continuing to make room for stories that put Black characters, families and communities at the center of the conversation.
