Speaking at the presentation, Francesca Orsi, EVP, Head of HBO Programming, and Drama Series and Films, added, "We are thrilled to be able to deliver new seasons of these two series for the next three years, for the legion of fans of the Game of Thrones universe. Together, House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms reveal just how expansive and richly imagined George R. R. Martin's universe continues to be. In January, I think audiences will be delighted by the inspiring underdog tale of Dunk and Egg that George and Ira Parker have so beautifully captured. And this Summer, House of the Dragon is set to ignite once again with some of its most epic battles yet."

"Task" is also getting a second season. The Mark Ruffalo-led thriller created by Brad Ingelsby, has received critical acclaim since its debut on September 7, amassing over 11.2 million viewers.

"We knew well in advance of its launch that we had a powerful drama series on our hands, but it has been so rewarding to witness the audience's fervor and embrace of this show as it grew week after week," said Francesca Orsi. "Rarely does a writer balance humanistic storytelling with intricate, explosive plotting, but Brad Ingelsby is one of our industry's greats and we have no doubt he will strike as profoundly and addictively once again in Season 2."

Season one of the hit series followed Ruffalo's Tom Brandis as an FBI agent based in Philadelphia who leads a task force to put an end to a string of violent robberies led by an unsuspected family man.

All three series will air exclusively on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max.
