The longest-running live-action comedy series, "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia", returns for its seventeenth season today on FXX with two brand-new episodes. Fans can look forward to the second part of the crossover between the "Always Sunny" gang and ABC's hit series "Abbott Elementary". The first crossover took place in Season 4 of "Abbott Elementary", when Charlie and his diabolical friends visited Willard R. Abbott Elementary School and met Janine Teagues with the rest of the teachers in a hilariously comical arc.

Created by Rob McElhenney, fans can also look forward to another exciting ABC crossover that sees Frank! (Danny DeVito) as a contestant on "The Golden Bachelor", and host Jesse Palmer makes a guest appearance later in the season. The jokes write themselves as Frank being on "The Golden Bachelor" is literally a stroke of genius. While long-running series such as "Always Sunny" tend to burn out after a couple of years, the series shows no signs of slowing down, as this season promises to be the best one yet, continuing to stay relevant with funny parodies of other hit shows, including "The Bear " and "Succession."

The core cast is back with Charlie Day returning as Charlie Kelly, Glenn Howerton as Dennis Reynolds, Rob McElhenney as Ronald "Mac" McDonald, Kaitlin Olson as Deandra "Dee" ("Sweet Dee") Reynolds, and Danny DeVito as Frank Reynolds.

The "Abbott Elementary" crossover includes Quinta Brunson as Janine Teagues, Tyler James Williams as Gregory Eddie, Janelle James as Ava Coleman, Sheryl Lee Ralph as Barbara Howard, Chris Perfetti as Jacob Hill, Lisa Ann Walter as Melissa Schemmenti, and William Stanford Davis as Mr. Johnson.

This summer marks the 20th anniversary of this iconic series that first premiered in August 2005. "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" remains hilariously entertaining, successfully carving out its niche with its unique brand of dark humor that continues to make the show a huge success.

Don't miss the first two episodes tonight! All episodes of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia are available to stream on Hulu the day after they air, with new episodes released every Wednesday.
