HBO Max Drops First Lanterns Teaser: DC’s New Green Lantern Series

HBO Max released the first teaser for its upcoming DC series Lanterns, giving fans their first glimpse of the long awaited live action return of the Green Lantern Corps.
The teaser introduces veteran Lantern Hal Jordan, played by Kyle Chandler, alongside rookie Lantern John Stewart, portrayed by Aaron Pierre, hinting at a grounded mystery story as the two space cops investigate a murder in the American heartland.
Developed for HBO and HBO Max, the series is part of DC Studios’ broader reboot of the DC Universe under the “Gods and Monsters” chapter led by James Gunn and Peter Safran. The series will blend superhero mythology with a detective style narrative.
The first season of Lanterns will consist of eight episodes and is currently scheduled to premiere later this year.
