"The Studio" is the hilarious new satirical comedy exclusively on Apple TV+. It stars Seth Rogen as Matt Remick, the newly appointed head of a film production company trying to balance his creative ambitions with corporate demands. The series premiered on March 26, 2025, with the first two of its ten episodes. New episodes will be released weekly on Wednesdays through its season finale on May 21, 2025.
Created and directed by longtime partners Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg along with Alex Gregory and Peter Heck, the series has already featured a ton of Hollywood's A-listers, including Martin Scorsese, Nick Stoller, Sarah Polley, Greta Lee, Peter Berg, and Paul Dano.
The official synopsis reveals that as movies struggle to stay alive and relevant, Matt and his core team of infighting executives battle their insecurities as they wrangle narcissistic artists and craven corporate overlords in the ever-elusive pursuit of making great films. With their power suits masking their never-ending sense of panic, every party, set visit, casting decision, marketing meeting, and award show presents them with an opportunity for glittering success or career-ending catastrophe. As someone who eats, sleeps, and breathes movies, it's the job Matt's been pursuing his whole life, and it may very well destroy him.

This hilarious series is a true gem, showcasing a perfect blend of humor and heart. Seth Rogen was tailor-made for his role, delivering a hilarious, witty, and charming performance. The series brilliantly captures the demanding pace of Hollywood, using satire to capture the egocentric producers, directors, and actors. Each episode weaves together layers of chaotic charm, and seeing actors playing exaggerated versions of themselves is highly entertaining, if not a bit revealing. The series is an absolute delight, especially for film enthusiasts who understand the complexities of the film industry. From start to finish, the series will make you laugh out loud, leaving you smiling throughout as you get a little taste of the behind the scenes antics in Hollywood.
