Apple TV+'s acclaimed bilingual comedy series "Acapulco" returns for its fourth and final season today with 2 brand new episodes. Inspired by the Mexican-American film "How to be a Latin Lover, the series premiered back in 2021. New episodes will be released weekly throughout the series finale on September 17.
Produced by Lionsgate Television and created by Austin Winsberg, Eduardo Cisneros, and Jason Shuman, the series stars Eugenio Derbez, who also serves as executive producer, and follows Máximo Gallardo (Enrique Arrizon) in two timelines whose dream comes true when he gets the job of a lifetime as a cabana boy at the hottest resort in Acapulco. The fourth season picks up after Season 3's explosive finale, which saw a young Maximo reveal precious intel from the Las Colinas guest book to Alejandro Vera, triggering a chain reaction around him.
In season four, present-day Máximo will work tirelessly to restore Las Colinas to its former glory before the grand reopening. In 1986, when a competitor claims the number one spot in the annual ranking of Acapulco's "Best Hotels," young Máximo will do whatever it takes to get back on top and secure Las Colinas' future.

"These four seasons have been magical," Eugenio Derbez shared in a statement. "'Acapulco' brought joy and heart to audiences around the world, and while saying goodbye is bittersweet, I'm so proud of what we created. From our incredible cast, writers and directors, to the way we celebrated Mexico's culture, beauty and warmth — it's been an unforgettable ride."
The ensemble cast includes Fernando Carsa, Rafael Cebrián, Vanessa Bauche, Camila Perez, Carlos Corona, Chord Overstreet, Regina Reynoso, Jessica Collins, and Regina Orozco. In addition to returning stars Damián Alcázar, Jaime Camil, and Cristo Fernández, Keyla Monterroso Mejia and Omar Chaparro join the new season as recurring guest stars.
See how Maximo's story ends as we bid a bittersweet goodbye to our favorite pink-themed resort. Old friends and new make for an exciting season, capping off some truly heartfelt and memorable moments during the series' four-year run. Culturally impactful and heartwarmingly funny, "Acapulco" is genuinely one of the better series on the TV landscape and will truly be missed.
The first two premiere episodes are available to stream now on Apple TV+. New episodes will be released every Wednesday.
