The 77th Tony Awards, an annual celebration honoring the outstanding achievements of plays and musicals, took place on June 16, 2024. The awards recognized theatrical productions and performances in Broadway theatre that opened between April 28, 2023, and April 25, 2024, within the 2023–24 season.
The ceremony, produced by Ricky Kirshner and directed by Glenn Weiss, took place for the first time at Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater in New York City and was broadcast on CBS. Additionally, it was streamed live and on-demand on Paramount+, the parent company of CBS. Oscar-winning actress Ariana DeBose hosted the Tonys for a third consecutive year.
Pluto TV broadcasted and live-streamed the pre-show ceremony, featuring exclusive content hosted by Julianne Hough and Utkarsh Ambudkar.

The Tony Awards on Sunday, showcasing diversity and inclusivity, was filled with incredible performances, including a surprise appearance by Alicia Keys and Jay-Z, who rocked the house with their hit "Empire State of Mind," and a fantastic musical act by "Stereophonic."
The evening also saw some remarkable first-time winners, including Kara Young, the first African American actress nominated three years in a row and who won Best Featured Actress for "Purlie Victorious." Daniel Radcliffe clinched his first Tony for "Merrily We Roll Along," and Maleah Joi Moon won the Lead Actress/Musical award in "Hell's Kitchen." Billy Porter accepted the Isabelle Stevenson Award, standing out for their exceptional achievements.
