Prime Video's newest animated series, Kevin, is a bold, offbeat comedy that blends sharp humor with genuine heart. Co-created by actress and producer Aubrey Plaza and Joe Wengert, the series is a fresh, relatable take on self-discovery told through the eyes of a very opinionated housecat.
Kevin follows a lifelong titular housecat who suddenly decides he's had enough of living with humans. Voiced by Jason Schwartzman, Kevin is lovable, anxious, and hilariously neurotic. A creature of comfort is forced into chaos when his human owners unexpectedly break up, leaving his once stable life in disarray.
With nowhere else to go, Kevin finds himself at a local pet rescue, where he's surrounded by a wildly unpredictable group of misfit animals. As he struggles to adjust to his new environment, Kevin is pushed far beyond his comfort zone. But in the process, he begins to question everything he thought he knew about himself, companionship, and what it truly means to belong.
Genuinely funny, Kevin explores themes of identity, change, and chosen family. Through Kevin's journey, the series offers touching insights while being unpredictably messy.
With a standout vocal performance from Schwartzman and a vibrant ensemble of characters that include John Waters, Whoopi Goldberg, Aparna Nancherla, Gil Ozeri, Amy Sedaris, Quinta Brunson, Patti LuPone, Tig Notaro, Joe Locke, Charles Melton, and Addison Rae, the series strikes a unique balance between absurd comedy where humans and animals communicate with each other and that might be the most endearing aspect of the series.
All episodes of Keving are streaming exclusively on Prime Video.
