A summer spent digging up the past turns into something much bigger in Peacock’s new comedy series DIG. Produced by Universal Television, the series follows a team of dedicated archaeologists and college students who find themselves on an unexpected journey after uncovering a rare artifact at a dig site in Greece.

With Greece as their backdrop, the team sets out to do what they came for, but their discovery changes the course of their summer in ways they never expected. Between the seasoned archaeologists and students who may not be quite as invested in the work, there’s plenty of room for personality clashes, surprising discoveries, and unexpected twists along the way.

The cast includes Hugh Laurie (House) as Neville, the senior archaeologist overseeing the dig; Antonia Thomas (The Good Doctor) as Clare; and Fina Strazza (Paper Girls) as Patty.

Created by Poehler and Mike Schur (The Good Place, Brooklyn Nine-Nine), the series blends comedy with archaeological intrigue and promises an adventure full of surprises.
