P-Valley Season 3: STARZ Sets December Premiere for Final Season of Hit Drama

After keeping fans waiting for more than four years, STARZ’s acclaimed drama P-Valley is finally ready to reopen the doors of The Pynk — but this time, it’s for one last dance. The series will return for its highly anticipated third and final season on Friday, December 4, 2026, launching with two episodes before continuing weekly on Fridays. The nine-episode farewell season marks the conclusion of one of television’s most provocative, stylish, emotionally charged, and unapologetically Black dramas.
Created by Katori Hall and inspired by her stage play Pussy Valley, P-Valley premiered in 2020 and quickly became much more than a drama about a Mississippi strip club. Set in the fictional town of Chucalissa in the Mississippi Delta, the series turned The Pynk into a world of its own, introducing viewers to dancers, artists, hustlers, dreamers, lovers, outsiders, and survivors whose lives collided beneath its neon lights.
From the beginning, P-Valley gave audiences characters who refused to fit neatly into a box. Uncle Clifford (Nicco Annan) became the magnetic heart of The Pynk, fighting to protect the club and the chosen family that depends on it. Mercedes (Brandee Evans) has battled for independence, respect, and a future beyond the pole, while Keyshawn (Shannon Thornton) has endured one of the series’ most heartbreaking journeys. Lil Murda (J. Alphonse Nicholson) has wrestled with love, ambition, sexuality, and the dangerous world surrounding his music career.
Then there is Roulette (Gail Bean), whose rise brought another unpredictable force into The Pynk, alongside Whisper (Psalms Salazar), Big L (Morocco Omari), Duffy (Dominic DeVore), Derrick (Jordan M. Cox), Mane (Thomas Q. Jones), Woddy (Bertram Williams Jr.), Haiku (Mea Wilkerson), Mayor Tydell (Harriett D. Foy) and Ernestine (Loretta Devine). Together, these characters helped turn Chucalissa into one of television’s most memorable fictional communities.
If there is one thing P-Valley has never been afraid to deliver, it is a water-cooler moment. Whether fans were debating Uncle Clifford and Lil Murda’s complicated love story, rooting for Mercedes, worrying about Keyshawn, reacting to the explosive twists surrounding The Pynk, or dissecting every unforgettable performance, the series consistently gave viewers something to talk about.
That ability to spark conversation became part of P-Valley’s identity. The series tackled race, sexuality, gender, family, ambition, violence, religion, class, and the pursuit of the American Dream without sanding down the edges of its characters or their experiences. It also created a space for Black, queer, and femme stories to exist at the center of a premium television drama rather than on the sidelines.
Now, Chucalissa is entering a new era. Season 3 picks up as the newly opened Promised Land Casino brings money, opportunity, and even more trouble to the community, forcing the people of The Pynk to confront what they are willing to risk for their piece of the American Dream.
For Hall, bringing P-Valley to an end is a deliberate choice. After taking the story from the stage to television and building it across three seasons, the creator has chosen to close the curtain on The Pynk on her own terms.
After years of unforgettable performances, shocking revelations, steamy romances, complicated relationships, fierce sisterhood, and enough drama to keep the Pynk Posse talking, P-Valley is preparing to leave the building. But if this series has taught us anything, it is that The Pynk never goes quietly.
