Forever is the critically acclaimed and socially relevant new coming of age series adapted from the groundbreaking 1975 novel of the same name by Judy Blume. Set in 2018 in Los Angeles, the series follows the love story of two Black teens, Justin and Keisha, as they explore romance and their identities through the awkward journey of being each other's firsts. Forever premiered on Netflix on May 8, releasing all eight episodes.
Created and show run by Mara Brock Akil (Girlfriends), with executive producers that include Blume and Regina King, this excellent series takes its time navigating the rapture and innocence of first love, drawing you into the lives of these characters that tug at the heartstrings as they face life lessons through social, cultural and parental obstacles with heartfelt emotions.

The series is beautifully executed, addressing a wide range of subjects with sensitivity, with a soundtrack that elevates the series, evoking a full range of emotions through laughter, tears, joy and heartbreak. The series is not only highly entertaining but also deeply moving, making it an instant classic of cultural and artistic perfection.
