Football is a family business in Hulu’s upcoming drama The Land, where winning games is only half the battle. The newly released trailer introduces a world where the pressure to deliver a winning season collides with family loyalty, personal ambition, and the fight for control of an NFL franchise.
Created by This Is Us mastermind Dan Fogelman, the series follows Cleveland Browns head coach Danny Roarke, who is running out of chances to turn his struggling team around. His biggest gamble is a newly drafted Ohio State quarterback who happens to be his son. Meanwhile, team owner Hal Durkin must decide which of his two daughters is best suited to take over the franchise, adding another layer of tension to an already high-pressure season.
Starring Christopher Meloni, Mandy Moore, Chace Crawford, Sam Corlett, Tanner Zagarino, Chloe Bennet, Bridget Moynahan, William H. Macy, and Omar Epps, The Land explores two families whose futures hinge on a team desperate for a win. With Fogelman at the helm, the series brings together football, complicated family dynamics, and the personal battles behind the business of sports.
The Land is created and executive produced by Dan Fogelman, who also serves as showrunner. Jess Rosenthal, Kevin Falls, Justin Adler, David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold, and Jason T. Reed also executive produce. The series is produced by 20th Television and Skydance Sports.
