Get ready to return to the streets of Detroit because Diarra From Detroit is officially back for another wild ride. Paramount+ has announced that the critically acclaimed comedy-mystery series will return for its second season on July 29, kicking things off with a two episode premiere before rolling out new episodes weekly through September 9.
Created by and starring the incredibly talented Diarra Kilpatrick, the series quickly became a fan favorite thanks to its unique blend of comedy, suspense, and unapologetically Detroit energy. If season one proved anything, it's that trouble seems to find Diarra Brickland no matter where she goes and season two looks ready to take that chaos to another level.
This time around, Diarra is determined to enjoy a carefree hot girl summer. Unfortunately, her plans are derailed almost immediately when a simple furniture recovery mission turns into something much bigger. What starts as a routine favor spirals into a triple homicide investigation, a citywide treasure hunt, and another dangerous journey through Detroit's criminal underworld.
As if solving murders wasn't enough, Diarra will also find herself infiltrating a secret society, starring in a Tubi movie, chasing local urban legends, navigating gang conflicts, and uncovering long-buried secrets hidden beneath the city. Add in the complications of her personal life, and it's clear that Diarra's version of a relaxing summer is anything but ordinary.

The returning cast includes DomiNque Perry, Bryan Terrell Clark, and Jon Chaffin, alongside fan-favorite performers Shannon Wallace, Phylicia Rashad, and Harry Lennix. Season two also boasts an impressive roster of guest stars, including Method Man, Morris Chestnut, Glynn Turman, Bokeem Woodbine, Amber Riley, Lil Rel Howery, Lovie Simone, Shoniqua Shandai, Nicco Annan, Skilla Baby, Icewear Vezzo, Chris "CP" Powell, and Jude Demorest.
Behind the scenes, Kilpatrick continues to lead the charge as creator, writer, and executive producer. The series is executive produced by Kenya Barris and showrunner Miles Orion Feldsott, with production handled by BET Studios and Khalabo Ink Society.
If the first look is any indication, season two is set to deliver even more laughs, twists, and outrageous adventures when Diarra returns to Paramount+ this summer.
Diarra From Detroit Season 2 premieres July 29 exclusively on Paramount+, with new episodes arriving every Wednesday through September 9.
