CBS' hit comedy The Neighborhood is back for its seventh season! Starring Cedric the Entertainer, and Tichina Arnold as The Butlers, the lovable duo is back ready to shake things up with their overly affectionate, perky neighbors, The Johnsons, the white Midwestern family who moved to Calvin's predominantly black neighborhood in Los Angeles, California. The seventh season premiered on October 21 and will have ten episodes till its season finale on December 23.
The series first debuted on October 1, 2018, and sees Calvin Butler as the unofficial mayor of his neighborhood, where he lives with his wife, Tina, and next door to his two sons, Malcolm and Marty. The show tells the story of the Butlers' unlikely friendship with their new(ish) neighbor, perpetual nice-guy Dave Johnson, and his wife, Gemma. The two families, once strangers, have now made this neighborhood their home, and the Johnsons fit into this new community better than they ever expected.

The laugh-out-loud comedy continues to hit its stride as it continues to be relevant, delivering social and cultural awareness with tons of laughs. After Dave Johnson realizes the only way to fit in the community is to befriend Calvin, the series continues to explore the dynamics of their friendship with serious subject matters and humor. After Calvin sold his repair shop and opened a new one with Marty called "Fuse Box," the two clashed with their management styles which will continue into season 7. Now, the Butlers welcome the newest family member, Marty and Courtney's baby, during the season opener. The couple bring baby Daphne home from the hospital, and Calvin is surprised to learn that Marty plans to take the paternity leave Dave offered in the employee handbook for the Fuse Box. Also, Tina will do anything to earn Daphne's love. The following week, in episode 2, Marty and Courtney struggle to get their newborn to sleep; the entire family suffers along with them, and Dave finds an old list he made of cool things to do before age 40, which sends him spiraling as he realizes he hasn't accomplished any of them.
