One of the most highly anticipated series of the summer will make its American debut tonight after premiering in the UK in 2024. AMC's newest adventure, "Nautilus," follows the legendary Captain Nemo and premiers with two episodes on Sunday, June 29, at 9PM ET/PT on AMC and AMC+ as Nemo escapes prison and embarks on an epic revenge mission with a motley crew of outlaws.
Inspired by Jules Verne's 1870 novel, "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea," this loose adaptation of the classic novel will release new episodes every Sunday through its two-episode season finale on Sunday, August 17.
Told as a Captain Nemo's origin story, "Nautilus" follows Nemo's (Shazad Latif) mission to enact revenge on the East India Mercantile Company, who took everything from him. He audaciously steals a prototype submarine from the penal colony in which he is imprisoned, escaping into the ocean with a motley crew of fellow prisoners. Nemo plans to reach the fabled Viking treasure buried at the Pillars of Halvar. But first, he must win the trust of his crew and keep out of the clutches of the ruthless East India Mercantile Company, who will do whatever it takes to stop him.

The high-stakes adventure sees Nemo steal the titular submarine where he was enslaved and escape into the ocean with a motley crew of fellow prisoners he is chased in a high-seas adventure by the people who want to vessel back. Attempting to reach the fabled Viking treasure buried at the Pillars of Halvar, he must win the trust of his crew and keep out of the clutches of the ruthless East India Mercantile Company, who will do whatever it takes to stop him.
Written and executive produced by James Dormer and distributed by Disney Entertainment, the series also stars Georgia Flood (Apples Never Fall) as Humility Lucas, Céline Menville (Emily in Paris) as Loti, and Thierry Fremont (Liaison) as Benoit, with guest appearances from Oscar nominee Richard E. Grant, Anna Torv, and Noah Taylor.
"Nautilus" is visually stunning, the ship and the underwater spectacles make the classic novel come to life. Each action-packed episode is filled with a healthy dose of fun, danger, and excitement, with a series of twists and turns that make the series thoroughly engaging.
