STARZ's highly anticipated crime drama series, "Black Mafia Family" (also known as BMF), returned for its fourth season on February 6. The series, which initially premiered back in 2021, follows the story of two brothers who created the "Black Mafia Family," the most prominent drug distribution network in American history. Created by Randy Huggins and executive produced by Curtis "50 cents" Jackson, the mastermind behind STARZ hit "Power" franchise, stars Demetrius Flenory Jr as Demetrius "Big Meech" Flenory and Da'Vinchi as Terry "Southwest T" Flenory, two drug kingpin brothers who rose to prominence from the drug-ridden streets in 1990's Detroit in pursuit of a hip-hop record label to front their criminal activities. The series is inspired by the real-life story of two brothers from 1980s Detroit who became one of hip-hop's influential figures in the music industry.

In addition to the fourth season of BMF, STARZ has renewed The BMF Documentary for a second season. "Blowing Money Fast" serves as a counterpart to the hit drama, giving viewers even more intimate access with a featured interview with Terry "Southwest T" Flenory.

In a press release released by STARZ, the network revealed, "The BMF Documentary: Blowing Money Fast" tracks the rise and fall of the most notorious drug syndicate in American history, the Black Mafia Family (BMF). Rising from the streets of Detroit in the early 80s, BMF leaders Meech and Terry Flenory became two of the most infamous drug-traffickers in the United States. In the six-part second season, Terry Flenory will tell his story for the first time. Through never-before accessed firsthand accounts, this is an in-depth look at a story about ambition, success, family and risking it all for the American Dream. Further adding, "The docuseries is a complement to the popular scripted drama, "BMF," that tells the story inspired by brothers Demetrius Flenory "Big Meech" and Terry Flenory "Southwest Tee," who rose from the depths of poverty, navigating the war on drugs in Detroit."

Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson and Shan Nicholson ("Jerusalem: City of Faith and Fury" and Rubble Kings) will also serve as the series' showrunners.
