"Beyond the Gates: Welcome to the Neighborhood" gives fans an exclusive look

CBS is opening its doors and granting viewers an exclusive look behind the scenes with preview access for the highly anticipated Daytime series "Beyond the Gates," premiering on February 24. The 5 part Daytime special "Beyond the Gates: Welcome to the Neighborhood" will air Monday, February 17 through Friday, February 21,  2:00–2:30 p.m. EST, exclusively on CBS ahead of the "Beyond The Gates premiere". The special will be hosted by "Entertainment Tonight" alum Kevin Frazier and actress Sheryl Underwood (The Talk).

Anticipation has been building for months, and excitement was at a fever pitch when news broke last year that "Beyond the Gates" was in development. The series will headline the first Black Daytime Soap Opera in 25 years since the debut of "Passions" in 1999.

With a groundbreaking partnership between CBS and the NAACP, "Beyond The Gates", has set out to reverse course and provide a Daytime serial that fans have been yearning for decades, showcasing Black excellence through representation and inclusivity with highly entertaining diverse storylines, rich production values, and set designs celebrating Black culture. The series follows the affluent Duprees, starring Clifton Davis and Tamara Tunie, the patriarch and matriarch of the Dupree family set in a leafy Maryland suburb just outside Washington, D.C., and in one of the most affluent African American counties in the United States. "At the center of this community are the Duprees, a powerful and prestigious multi-generational family that is the very definition of Black royalty. But behind these pristine walls and lush, manicured gardens are juicy secrets and scandals waiting to be uncovered".

CBS released the first tantalizing trailer for "Beyond The Gates" back in December, hyping fans for what's to come, and the new special promises an unparalleled experience to be thoroughly immersed in the Duprees and their scandalous drama ahead of its debut. Filmed on location on the stages in Atlanta, the new special provides viewers with footage from the cast's first table read, on-set interviews, and never-before-seen moments with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with the executive producers, cast, and crew.

Episode One: Unveiling Fairmont Crest – Monday, February 17

Episode Three: Fashion and Flair – Wednesday, February 19 

In episode three, step behind the curtain to explore the artistry of BEYOND THE GATES' wardrobe, hair and makeup departments. Take a tour of the show's high-fashion wardrobe, where every look is meticulously curated to reflect each character's personality, status and story. Get the inside scoop on the secrets behind the show's stunning hair and makeup, including a peek inside the wig cabinet housing more than 40 custom-designed wigs.

Episode Four: A Day in the Life – airing Thursday, February 20 

Episode four shows viewers a day in the life of the fast-paced world of BEYOND THE GATES, where the cast tackles an intense filming schedule – shooting up to 100 pages a day. Discover the stamina, skill and dedication it takes to bring Fairmont Crest to life, from memorizing lines to delivering powerhouse performances under pressure.
