Your Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman is the newest animated series about our favorite webslinger based on the popular superhero character by Stan Lee. Per the official logline, the series follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming Spiderman in the MCU, with a journey unlike we've ever seen and a style that celebrates the character's early comic book roots. The series debuted exclusively on Disney+ with two of its ten episodes on January 29 with weekly episodes released in groups. Episodes 3-5 will be released on Wednesday, February 5; episodes 6-8 will be released on Wednesday, February 12; and its final two episodes on Wednesday, February 19 as part of Phase Five of the MCU.
Created by Jeff Trammell, the executive producers are Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, and Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt, with Marvel Studios Animation producing.
The series stars:
Hudson Thames as Peter Parker / Spiderman
Kari Wahlgren as May Parker
Grace Song as Nico Minoru
Eugene Byrd as Lonnie Lincoln
Zeno Robinson as Harry Osborn
Colman Domingo as Norman Osborn

The series follows a young Peter Parker, a freshman at Midtown high school who revisits his classic origin story of being bit by a spider and coming into his powers but with a cool twist involving Dr Strange. The series gifts with an alternate universe where Norman Osborn ( a fantastic Coleman Domingo) becomes Peter's mentor instead of Tony Stark when he interns at Oscorp, where Norman is the CEO. The series feels like a classic Spiderman series before the juggernaut of the MCU that showcases a young boy trying to become a man whose loyalties are tested with the typical teenage angst but a surprising coming of-age story where Peter balances being a teenager and being a superhero very reminiscent of Spiderman: The Animated Series.
Plenty of familiar characters are staples within the series and characters not seen in the MCU, making the series even more of a classic aligned with Spiderman of the comics. Both the animation and writing give the series a fresh jolt on a story we've seen through countless movie and television iterations. Your Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman is an instant classic. Fresh and crisp with plenty of opportunities for multiple seasons.
The first two episodes of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman are streaming now on Disney+.
