Unstoppable is the inspirational biopic that follows Anthony Robles, an athlete who overcomes insurmountable professional and personal obstacles to become Arizona high school state champion and NCAA national champion in wrestling despite having one leg. Based on Robles' 2012 book Unstoppable: From Underdog to Undefeated: How I Became a Champion, the movie first premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival back in September and had a limited theatrical run in December 2024 by Amazon MGM Studios. It will be available for streaming on January 16 exclusively on Prime Video.
Directed by William Goldenberg from a screenplay by Eric Champnella, Alex Harris, and John Hindman, the film's producers include Anthony Robles and Ben Affleck, with Emmy winner Jharrel Jerome (Moonlight) starring in the titular role. The fantastic, highly acclaimed ensemble cast includes Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Don Cheadle, and Jennifer Lopez.

Robles has a lot to prove. Not to everyone but to himself. He has much to overcome in a world where life is stacked against him. His disability, humble beginnings, financial hardship, and the abuse he constantly suffers at the hands of his stepfather are powerful hindrances, but he is determined that none of those adversities will keep him from reaching his true potential or deter him from achieving his dreams. He is faced with criticism and skepticism in a society that disregards him, all of which have motivated him to persevere with the tenacity to relentlessly train, overcoming all of the adversity with the loving relationship and support he has from his mother. Robles has proven everyone wrong.
At the heart of the movie, which many fans will appreciate, is a story about strength and determination. Jerome delivers a gripping performance in the film, showcasing Robles' struggles, determination, and successes to rise above and achieve greatness. The film is uplifting, empowering, and a wonderful testament to the human spirit.
Unstoppable premieres on Prime Video on January 16
