Tonight, ABC has an exciting lineup featuring some of your favorite shows returning for their highly anticipated new seasons, and we can't wait to dive in! This season, the stakes are higher than ever before for our beloved characters, and they'll be facing even bigger challenges. From space missions to explosions, getting swallowed by a whale, and facing geomagnetic storms, the premieres of "9-1-1", the new series "9-1-1: Nashville", and the long-running "Grey's Anatomy" promises an action packed evening to kick off their respective seasons.

9-1-1 (season premiere) 8/7c

"9-1-1" returns for Season 9, and everyone is still reeling from the tragic death of Bobby (Peter Krause). No one feels the loss more than his wife, Athena (Angela Bassett), and Harry (Elijah M. Cooper). In the first episode of the new season, titled "Eat the Rich," they come together to pay their respects. The first responders of Station 118 in Los Angeles must find a way to carry on as they tackle new emergencies and personal challenges. With every call, the team leans on each other to face the unimaginable. Guest star Mark Consuelos guest stars as a Billionaire who gets swallowed by a whale (yikes!).

In addition to Basset, the Season 9 cast includes Jennifer Love Hewitt, Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, Ryan Guzman, and Kenneth Choi, as well as Corinne Massiah, Gavin McHugh, Elijah M. Cooper, and Anirudh Pisharody.

9-1-1: Nashville (series premiere) 9/8c

From the creators of "9-1-1" (Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Tim Minear) comes a new chapter. The "9-1-1" franchise is expanding its universe after "9-1-1 Lone Star," which concluded its 5-season run in February 2025. The new series takes viewers to Nashville, the heart of Music City, where a fresh team of first responders, including firefighters, paramedics, and police officers, led by Chris O'Donnell as Captain Don Sharp, takes on high-stakes emergencies and personal battles in America's country music capital.

In the series premiere, when a powerful tornado tears through Nashville and endangers a country music festival, Captain Don Hart leads Fire Station 113 on a harrowing rescue mission. Meanwhile, the Hart family contends with the fallout when a long-held secret is revealed.

In addition to O' Donnell, the cast includes Jessica Capshaw, LeAnn Rimes, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Hailey Kilgore, Michael Provost, Juani Feliz, and Hunter McVey.

Grey's Anatomy (season premiere) 10/9c

As they fight to recover, Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) steps back into the fold — bringing both hope and new complications.
