Hulu's sequel to the hit series "The Handmaid's Tale" invites audiences back into the chilling, unforgettable world of Gilead with the dystopian drama "The Testaments" - a fantastic continuation of the Emmy winning phenomenon adapted from Margaret Atwood's 1985 novel of the same name. Created by Bruce Miller and executive produced by Eric Tuchman and Yahlin Chang, the new series expands on the legacy of resistance, survival, and rebellion that made the original series such a worldwide hit.

Hulu released the first three of its 10 episodes on May 8, immediately drawing viewers into a tense, emotionally charged narrative that bridges the past and future of this iconic universe. New episodes will roll out weekly through the season finale on May 27, 2026.

Chase Infiniti leads a new generation of young girls who are growing up within an oppressive system. Set several years after the events of "The Handmaid's Tale," "The Testaments" explores the inner workings of Gilead from fresh perspectives, delving deeper into the lives of young women coming of age under authoritarian rule. The series follows two young teens, Agnes (Chase Infiniti) and Daisy (Lucy Halliday), set inside Aunt Lydia's strict school, where girls are trained to become obedient wives. As secrets unravel and loyalties are tested, the series skillfully balances suspense with deeply human storytelling that honors the emotional depth and cultural impact of its predecessor while boldly charting its own path.

Elizabeth Moss reprises her iconic role as June Osborne from The Handmaid's Tale" in a moment that feels monumental. It's not just a cameo for shock value, it's a carefully placed return that ties the old world to the new, reminding viewers just how much is at stake in Gilead's ongoing story. "The Testaments" could have been fine without Osborne, but her presence instantly elevates the series, bringing with it the emotional history and resilience that defined the original show. Longtime fans will feel that familiar mix of defiance, pain, and unwavering strength that made June such a cultural touchstone every time she appears on screen.

In addition to Infiniti, the cast for the series includes Lucy Halliday, Ann Dowd, Rowan Blanchard, Eva Foote, Kira Guloien, Amy Seimetz, Brad Alexander, Birva Pandya, Zarrin Darnell-Martin, Mattea Conforti, Shechinah Mpumlwana, Mabel Li, and Isolde Ardies.

Delivering timely themes that resonate in today's world, "The Testaments" absolutely earns its place alongside "The Handmaid's Tale". The haunting visuals and moments of quiet rebellion are comparable, but "The Testaments" confidently steps into its own identity, ushering in a new audience to a classic tale.

New episodes of "The Testaments" drop every Wednesday.
