Netflix has confirmed that The Night Agent will end after its fourth season, officially bringing the political thriller to a close.
The series, which first premiered in 2023, quickly became one of Netflix's biggest hits, following FBI agent Peter Sutherland as he uncovers dangerous conspiracies tied to the U.S. government. It spent multiple weeks on Netflix's Top 10 and built a strong audience over the years.
According to reports, the decision to end the show after Season 4 was intentional. Creator Shawn Ryan has said the team wanted to wrap up the story in a way that feels complete, rather than stretching it out unnecessarily. The final season is expected to give Peter Sutherland a proper ending.
Production on the fourth and final season is already underway in Los Angeles. While details about the plot are still under wraps, the new season is expected to continue the show's mix of action and political intrigue.
Netflix had previously renewed the show following strong viewership, but the move to end it now appears to be about finishing on a high note. Season 4 will mark the last chapter of Peter Sutherland's story, with more twists, new threats, and a final mission that brings everything together.
All previous seasons of The Night Agent are currently available to stream on Netflix.
