"Vampirina: Teenage Vampire" sinks its teeth on Disney+ today after debuting on the Disney Channel last month. Based on the preschool show "Vampirina," adapted from the book series by Anne Marie Pace, the live action teen series follows vampire Vee Hauntley, played by the ultra charismatic Kenzi Richardson, who leaves her home in Transylvania to pursue her musical dreams and attend a performing arts boarding school.
Living amongst humans for the first time, the series features 14 brand new original songs as Vee pursues her passion for music while keeping her vampire identity a secret, something that's made more challenging when her overprotective father charges an overzealous ghost to live with her at the school.
Rounding out the cast are Jiwon Lee as Sophie, Vee's kind and girly-girl roommate; Shaun Dixon as the intriguing and laid-back Elijah; Milo Maharlika as the 600-year-old ghost, Demi; and Faith Hedley as Britney, a super-talented legacy student. The recurring cast features Kate Reinders and Jeff Meacham, who play Vee's loving vampire parents, and Kim Coles is Dean Merriweather of Wilson Hall Academy of the Arts.
With themes of friendship, identity, and following your dreams, this series is the perfect escape for younger viewers, brimming with vibrancy, diversity, authenticity, comedy, and light-hearted fun. It's a delightful adventure that fans of all ages can enjoy.
Guest stars include Mykal-Michelle Harris (Raven's Home), Jenna Davis (M3GAN), and Ariel Martin (aka Baby Ariel; ZOMBIES). Fans of Disney will be in for a major treat when "Wizards Beyond Waverly Place" star Janice LeAnn Brown makes an appearance as Billie in a highly entertaining crossover episode.
All 16 episodes of "Vampirina: Teenage Vampire" are now streaming on Disney+ and Disney Channel On Demand.
