Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is the latest installment in the franchise by Lucasfilm. Set after the events of The Return of The Jedi during the same period as the Mandalorian series, it stars Jude Law as the mysterious Jod Na Nawood and premiered on Disney+ on December 3 with two of its eight episodes.
Created and executive produced by Christopher Ford and John Watts, with Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson, the series follows four children searching for their home planet after getting lost in the Star Wars galaxy. There, they encounter Jod Na Nawood and the adventure begins.
The series stars:
Jude Law as Jod Na Nawood
Ravi Cabot-Conyers as Wim
Ryan Kiera Armstrong as Fern
Kyriana Kratter as KB
Robert Timothy Smith as the voice of Neel
Nick Frost as the voice of SM-33

The series is truly an adventure at heart, filled with 80's nostalgia that many fans of the franchise will love. Wim, an absolute delight, constantly fantasizes about having Jedi-like experiences with his trusty action figures on his planet At Attin. When he accidentally stumbles upon a starship he initially thought was a Jedi Temple, it suddenly blasts him and his three friends into space past a mysterious barrier, a barrier whose importance will come into play in later episodes. Soon, they encounter the charismatic Jod, and the jury is still out if he can be trusted as it's obvious he has less than altruistic motives, but the gang and Jod form a beneficial alliance when he finds out they're from At Attin, "the lost planet of eternal treasure."
The adolescent energy among the four precocious leads is captivating, taking you along on their journey lost in space, battling pirates, aliens, allies, and foes. The electric energy is palpable as every episode is full of joy, wonder, and humor, making this coming of age series fun to watch.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is easily one of the best series in the Star Wars franchise, primarily because it is not weighted in serious subject matter compared to its predecessors. Feeling very similar to Richard Donner’s 1985 "The Goonies," it never takes itself too seriously, a refreshing change and a delight for fans of all ages.
