If you haven't checked out Peacock's "The Paper," you're missing out on this fresh and hilarious new series that serves as a spinoff of NBC's beloved mockumentary series "The Office," which ran from 2005 to 2013 on NBC to critical acclaim. The new series premiered on September 4 with all ten episodes. It follows the same format and captures the charming essence as its predecessor, with the same documentary crew that previously followed the employees at Dunder Mifflin in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Here, they turn their lens on the Toledo Truth-Teller, a historic but declining Midwestern newspaper trying to survive in the modern era, and the publisher trying to revive it with volunteer reporters.
Created and executive produced by Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, with Ricky Gervais & Stephen Merchant also serving as executive producers, "The Paper" boasts a terrific ensemble cast that includes Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young, Tim Key, and Oscar Núñez reprising his role as accountant Oscar Martinez.

Sharp, funny, and full of heart, Domhnall Gleeson leads a brilliant new cast that captures the same lovable awkwardness and chaos as "The Office", while Oscar Núñez's return adds the perfect touch of nostalgia. The series blends laugh-out-loud comedy with a compelling story about the decline of print media and the enduring importance of journalism, giving it both charm and relevance.
"The Paper" is a slow burn that develops its own rhythm at a steady pace, shaped by the lives of reporters who must step outside the safety of their desks and confront the chaos of the world. While fans of "The Office" will draw comparisons, the series stands on its own with its unique charm that is definitely worth the binge.
All ten episodes of the Paper are streaming now exclusively on Peacock.
