Prime Video is doubling down on one of its biggest global franchises.

There’s something refreshing about seeing a streaming service actually believe in one of its biggest shows instead of waiting until the last minute to make fans nervous. That’s exactly why it's pretty awesome that Prime Video has already renewed Reacher for Season 5 before Season 4 has even premiered.
The early renewal signals major confidence in the long-running adaptation, which has become one of Prime Video's biggest worldwide successes since its launch. According to the streamer, the series continues to dominate globally and remains one of the platform’s strongest performing original titles.
“Reacher remains one of Prime Video’s most popular franchises,” the press release shared. “The early renewal underscores the continued success and global appeal of the action-packed drama.”
The numbers back it up. Season 3 attracted an impressive 54.6 million viewers globally during its first 19 days of release, making it the platform’s most-watched season since the debut season of Fallout over the same time period. Previous seasons of the series are currently streaming exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.
Since the first season premiered, Reacher has quietly grown into one of the most reliable action series on television. The show understands exactly what it wants to be: gritty, entertaining, smart, and unapologetically fun. It doesn’t overcomplicate itself trying to chase trends. Instead, it delivers old-school action storytelling with modern polish, and viewers clearly can’t get enough of it.
Alan Ritchson is set to return once again as the formidable Jack Reacher in Season 4, which is based on Gone Tomorrow, the 13th novel from bestselling author Lee Child. The new chapter follows Reacher after a chance subway encounter with a troubled stranger takes a deadly turn, pulling him into a dangerous conspiracy tied to some of the most powerful figures imaginable.
A huge part of the show’s success comes from Alan Ritchson. He was simply born to play Jack Reacher. From the physical presence to the dry humor and intimidating calmness, Ritchson captures everything fans love about the character from Lee Child’s novels. Every season somehow makes the performance even better.
Produced by Paramount Television Studios and Amazon MGM Studios, Season 4 will welcome an expanded cast that includes Chris Marquette, Sydelle Noel, AGNEZ MO, Anggun, Kevin Weisman, Marc Blucas, Kevin Corrigan, and Kathleen Robertson.
Season 4 of Reacher will premeire later this year.
