The Runarounds, Prime Video's spunky new musical teen drama that premiered on September 1 with all of its eight episodes, follows a group of teens with big dreams, big hearts, and a bigger penchant for trouble!

Produced by Prime Video and created by Jonas Pate, known for the teen hit, Outer Banks, the series is inspired by the real-life band of the same name and follows a group of five recent high school graduates in Wilmington, North Carolina, who form a band in the hopes of escaping the mundane futures that are laid out before them. As the band pursues their big break and near impossible dream over the course of a summer, they fall in love and into trouble along the way.

Led by Charlie Cooper, who has big aspirations of stardom, Charlie, along with his fellow badmates, face all the YA setbacks that include the familiar struggles of family drama, adding a layer of complexity, uncertainty, teen love, social expectations, and teen angst. The energetic cast of musicians includes Axel Ellis, Jesse Golliher, William Lipton, Zendé Murdock, Jeremy Yun, Lilah Pate, Kelley Pereira, Maximo Salas, Marley Aliah, Shea Pritchard, Mark Wystrach, Hayes MacArthur, and Brooklyn Decker. With its retro feel and original songs, the series provides a fun escape with a touch of nostalgia for the late 90s and early 2000s punk rock scene.

Over the course of one unforgettable summer, they throw themselves into the pursuit of their big break - falling in love, getting into trouble, and building the kind of bonds that feel like family along the way with original music, romantic entanglements, and the raw highs and lows of coming of age. The Runarounds captures the rush of risking everything at the edge of adulthood to chase your dreams.

All episodes of "The Runarounds" are streaming now on Prime Video.
