Coming off the heels of one of the best summer romances in The Summer I Turned Pretty, Prime Video delivers another engaging, swoon-worthy, romantic adventure in The Map That Leads To You, premiering exclusively on August 20.
In this heartwarming and romantic drama about "love, destiny, and the courage to choose your own path", the film follows Heather (Madelyn Cline), a young woman setting off on an adventure across Europe with her best friends before settling into her perfectly planned life. When she crosses paths with Jack (KJ Apa), a magnetic and mysterious stranger, their instant spark ignites an emotional journey neither of them expected. As their connection deepens, secrets, life choices, and hidden truths will test their bond — and change her life in ways she never imagined.
Produced by Amazon MGM Studios, the film is directed by Lasse Hallström and is a beautiful adaptation of the 2017 best-selling novel by J.P. Monninger, of the same name. Writers Leslie Bohem, Vera Herbert, and Monninger bring the romantic story to life, creating a rapturous adventure for our heroine mixed with the sweet thrill of a whirlwind romance. Anchored by the fantastic chemistry between the actors and their character-driven motivations, the film charts a story that beautifully captures the nostalgia of young love.
