Prime Video’s Fallout Reloads for Season 3 with Major New Cast Additions

The wasteland is expanding. Prime Video has officially announced that Emmy-nominated actress Emily Mortimer, breakout star Manny Jacinto, and acclaimed actress Thomasin McKenzie are joining the cast for the highly anticipated third season of its smash hit adaptation of Fallout.


Per the offcial press release, production on Season 3 kicks off this month in Los Angeles, signaling that the next chapter of one of streaming’s biggest genre phenomena is already underway. Since its explosive debut, Fallout has become nothing short of a global juggernaut. Across the first 13 weeks of Season 2, combined viewership for Seasons 1 and 2 has surpassed 100 million viewers worldwide, solidifying the series as one of Prime Video’s biggest original hits. Even more impressive, both seasons now rank among the top four most watched seasons in Prime Video history within that same timeframe.


The series is based on the iconic video game franchise and tells the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. Two-hundred years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind—and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.

Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner serve as executive producers, creators, and showrunners. Todd Howard, Bethesda Game Studios, executive produces along with James Altman for Bethesda Softworks. Margot Lulick also executive produces.
