Teacup is scary and it's the perfect series for the Halloween season. The series focuses on a married couple, James and Maggie Chenoweth, who are having marital problems with their two kids and grandmother at their remote farm in Georgia. Their farm animals start acting strangely, and their son Arlo wanders off into the woods alone. The Chenoweth's neighbors arrive seeking Maggie's help because they, too, are having problems with their animals, and Maggie's a vet. When Arlo is found, he's tattered and acting stranger than the farm animals and starts saying things that doesn't make sense. Chaos ensues, and it's soon revealed that Arlo has become possessed by a supernatural element who warns terrible things will happen. Even worse, a terrifying man shows up in a gas mask and spray paints a blue line on the ground warning everyone not to cross it, even going further with a handwritten sign that says, "Trust no one."

Everyone is on edge and the creepy guy ominously warning, "trust no one" has everyone suspicious of each other. Whatever evil is happening, it can jump from host to host, entering the bodies of individuals and we get to see what really happens to someone when they pass over the blue line in all it's gory details.

The suspense and thrills are amped up several octaves since you have no idea who or what the threat is and where it will come from. There are also genuine family moments, and family dynamics which raises the stakes and makes you care about what happens to the characters. Yvonne Strahovski is fantastic as Maggie, and without the horror elements, Teacup could easily have been a drama about the Chenoweths. The flawless direction makes the entire series riveting as the family must come together to figure out what exactly is happening before it's too late.
