Our favorite trio of crime-fighting,  true-crime podcast super sleuths, Charles, Oliver, and Mabel, are back to investigate a murder that hits too close to home at their infamous apartment building, The Arconia. The fifth season of the highly acclaimed series "Only Murders in the Building" premiered exclusively on Hulu with three of its ten episodes on September 9. New episodes will be released every Tuesday leading up to the season finale on October 28.

Season 4 ended with a shocking cliffhanger when Lester, The Arconia's beloved doorman was murdered, pulling our beloved trio into their newest murder mystery. Just who would want to kill Lester, and what could their motive be? Refusing to believe it was an accident, the stakes have never been higher for the trio as they uncover a dangerous web of secrets connecting powerful billionaires, old-school mobsters, and the mysterious residents of The Arconia. The trio discovers a deeper divide between their storied city they thought they knew and the new New York evolving around them — one where the old mob fights to hold on as newer, even more dangerous players emerge.

In addition to the trio, Michael Cyril Creighton, Jackie Hoffman, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Meryl Streep, Richard Kind, Nathan Lane, and Tea Leoni will all reprise their previous roles. The fifth season will also feature a star-studded cast of newcomers, including Keegan-Michael Key, Renée Zellweger, Christopher Waltz, Logan Lerman, Jermaine Fowler, Beanie Feldstein, Bobby Cannavale, and Dianne West.

"What I think we're doing in Season 5 is very different," producer and head writer John Hoffmann tells Deadline. "We're going straight into a New York story that's happening very much currently. It's also happening across the country, obviously, but also in the city itself. We're pulling from the headlines to ask very specific questions about the balance of power in New York and who has that power. That's what we're really looking at — the shifting power dynamics of the country. And what's really fun about it, the comedic side of it, is that the history of power in New York is pretty colorful, with the old mob and the new mob mixing in. What do those two look like, and how do they sit on either side, with our trio in the center of it?"

The first three episodes of "Only Murders In The Building" are available exclusively on Hulu and Disney+.
