Tyler Perry's hit series "Sistas" returned for its ninth season on July 16 on BET, promising more drama, twists, and suspense for our favorite group of women, who first appeared on our screens back in October 2019.
The series has become a staple in African American culture, ranking as the number one scripted series on cable among Black households in the coveted 18-49 demographic in 2024. For the past eight years, the series followed the tightly knit group of modern divas who navigated the challenges of love triangles, secrets, scandals, career twists, and wild revelations.
The new season picks up right where the shocking Season 8 finale left off, revealing that the Atlanta women must set aside their current individual problems and traumas when they learn something is wrong with Karen's pregnancy. It's a mad dash to the hospital in a city recovering from a blackout. MANY burning questions will be answered, including Andi's kidnapping and Gary's attack.
Returning for the ninth season are KJ Smith, Mignon, Ebony Obsidian, Novi Brown, Crystal Renee Hayslett, Angela Beyince, Devale Ellis, Chido Nwokocha, Brian Jordan Jr., and Kevin A. Walton. New additions to the cast include Darone Okolie, Sullivan Jones, and Walnette Marie Santiago, adding to the drama.
The stakes have never been higher as shifting loyalties test the bond like never before, pushing the ladies further to the edge in their friendships and personal lives.
Don't miss the exciting new season of Sistas. New episodes will be released every Wednesday on BET.
