Missing You is the latest thriller by Netflix, adapted from the 2014 novel by famous author Harlan Coben of the same name. The series, which debuted on Netflix on January 1 with five episodes, stars Rosalind Eleazar (Slow Horses) as Detective Kat Donovan, who, while on a dating app, sees her ex-fiancé, Josh (Ashley Walters), who left her 11 years ago without a trace. Kat understandably has questions but gets more than she bargained for when she realizes his disappearance may be connected to her father's murder, leading her to uncover long-buried secrets.
With a screenplay by Victoria Asare-Archer, the series is directed by Nimer Rashed and Isher Sahota, with Coben also serving as executive producer.
The series stars:
Rosalind Eleazar as Detective Inspector Kat Donovan
Jessica Plummer as Stacey Embalo
Richard Armitage as Detective Chief Inspector Ellis Stagger
Lenny Henry as Clint Donovan
Steve Pemberton as Titus
Marc Warren as Monte Leburne
Samantha Spiro as Nurse Sally Steiner
Lisa Faulkner as Dana Fells
Mary Malone as Aqua
Ashley Walters as Josh Buchanan
Alice Offley as Tamsin Salter
James Nesbitt as Calligan
Matt Willis as Darryl
Rudi Dharmalingam as Rishi Magari
Felix Garcia Guyer as Reynaldo
Kieran Burton as Clem
GK Barry as Vanessa

Missing You is the latest and 10th collaboration between Netflix and Coben of his popular mystery novels, as previous adaptations, such as Stranger and last year's Fool Me Once, have been runaway hits on Netflix. The series is filled with many twists and turns that fans will enjoy, and the performances by Eleazar, notably Steve Pemberton and the rest of the ensemble cast, complement the series flawlessly.
Staying true to the source material, Missing You is addictive and thoroughly entertaining as the mystery and secrets deepen and evolve, filled with emotional beats. With five episodes and a shocking cliffhanger that has left social media buzzing, the series is wonderfully binge-able, leaving you fully immersed in the story.
