Starring Diane Kruger as Jess, who leads a life of wealth and privilege with her husband, Ed, Jess seems to have it all but things aren't always what they seem. As the series unfolds, we learn the backstories of the four couples at the center of the drama, including Jess and Ed, Liz and her loyal husband Nick, Charlotte and her husband Andrew, and Mel and Rob intricately intertwined, weaving an intoxicating tale of secrets and betrayal.

Through flashbacks, we see that the four tightly knit couples have known each other for 10 years, and that all came to a head in a catalytic moment the year before in Provence, as the series takes its time to fill in the pieces that lead to the present investigation.

In addition to Kruger, the series stars Jo Joyner as Liz, Ben Bailey Smith as Nick, Shelley Conn as Charlotte, Emily Taaffe as Mel, JJ Feild as Ed, Stephen Campbell Moore as Rob, and Patrick Baladi as Andrew.

Director Eva Siguroardottir crafts a series rich in emotional depth and mystery that feels both authentic and unpredictable. As the relationships between the couples unravel,  new secrets are exposed that vacillate between socioeconomic status and domestic abuse, bringing both to the forefront. The series does an excellent job of portraying privilege and mistrust as new secrets are exposed and audiences are kept guessing just who is responsible for hurting the child, revealing that not everyone is as innocent as they appear.

All six episodes of "Little Disasters" are available to stream on Paramount+.
