Tyler Perry's new film, "Finding Joy," tells the heartwarming story of Joy (Shannon Thornton), a New York fashion designer whose talents are overshadowed by her boss. Encouraged by her friends, Joy follows her crush to Colorado, hoping for some holiday magic, instead, a shocking revelation leaves her stranded in a snowstorm. Fate intervenes when Joy finds unexpected solace in Ridge, the handsome stranger who rescues her, transforming her outlook on life and love and potentially changing her path forever. The film premiered exclusively on Prime Video on November 5.

Written, produced, and directed by the ever-prolific Tyler Perry, the film marks his third film in his four film partnership with Amazon MGM Studios. Perry provided an extended and diverse range of content for 2025, leaving us laughing, crying, and throwing our hands in frustration. Madea's Destination Wedding, Duplicity, Ruth and Boaz (which he produced), and a personal favorite, Straw, starring a fantastic Taraji P. Henson were among his films this year.

In addition to Thornton, "Finding Joy" stars Tosin Morohunfola, Brittany S. Hall, Inayah, and Aaron O'Connell in Perry's holiday drama. Delivering his signature blend of comedy, hope, and faith, the film explores love, career challenges, and unexpected connections, inspiring even the most hopeless romantics.

"Finding Joy" is streaming now on Prime Video.
