Harlan Coben's Lazarus is a gripping psychological thriller starring Sam Claflin as Joel "Laz" Lazarus and Bill Nighy as his father, Dr. Jonathan Lazarus, streaming now exclusively on Prime Video.

The six-episode series is based on an original story idea and written by the New York Times best-selling author Harlan Coben and BAFTA-winner Danny Brocklehurst, and follows Lazarus, a man who returns home after his father's suicide and begins to have disturbing experiences that can't be explained. He quickly becomes entangled in a series of cold-case murders as he grapples with the mystery of his father's death and his sister's murder 25 years ago.

From the very first episode, the series draws you into the unsettling visions that torment Lazarus, immediately setting a dark and unpredictable tone. It's amplified by ghostly encounters that take viewers on a series of mysterious twists and turns leading to a mind blowing finale that is genuinely surprising.

Claflin is outstanding in the role, playing a tortured Lazarus gripped by anger, fear, confusion, and hysteria against the dark, supernatural setting that delivers an ominous tone throughout the series.

Produced by Amazon MGM Studios, and Quay Street Productions in association with Final Twist Productions, the additional cast for the series includes Alexandra Roach as Jenna Lazarus, David Fynn as Seth McGovern, Karla Crome as Bella Catton, and Kate Ashfield as Detective Alison Brown.

Harlan Coben's Lazarus skillfully explores themes of trauma, grief, and death, intricately interweaving the past and the present. It masterfully delivers a multi-layered narrative that keeps you engaged from start to finish and doesn't let up until the very end, challenging viewers to examine the precarious balance between grief and reality, and prompting a deeper reflection on the delicacy of the human psyche. Hopefully, a second season will be greenlit for this fantastic series.
