Buteau shines in this highly engaging and relatable colorful series. Funny and light-hearted, the series features quite a few familiar faces that make Mavis' journey to find happiness on her terms all the more relatable. With friends adding endless support, wisdom, and humor, the series is surprisingly emotional as Mavis struggles to navigate her own path in life, making the series that more memorable in a world that can be unforgiving to individuals who do not fit society's ideal of perfection. The series emphasizes empowerment, inclusivity, and the importance of dreaming big while highlighting themes of sexuality, relationships, identity, genuine friendships, and stereotypes that shape our lives.

This charming series adds warmth, vibrancy, and flavor, guiding us toward self-discovery right alongside Mavis.
