"Agatha All Along" is Disney's highly anticipated new miniseries, a continuation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Two of its nine episodes will debut today on Disney+, and new episodes will be released weekly until the series finale on October 30.
Based on the Marvel Comics character Agatha Harkness, Kathryn Hahn reprises her role as Agatha in the titular series as the powerful, tenacious witch first seen in 2021 with Disney's first television series in the MCU "WandaVision," which featured Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch and Vision. After killing members of her Salem coven who attempted to execute her for practicing dark magic in 1963, in "WandaVision," we were introduced to the character in Westview, New Jersey as "Agnes," where she pretended to be Wanda and Vison's friendly neighbor. Her true identity was later revealed, secretly coveting Wanda's powers.

The series stars Kathryn Hahn and also features Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, with Debra Jo Rupp, Patti LuPone, and Aubrey Plaza. The executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos, and Jac Schaeffer, who is also the head writer. The series's directors include Jac Schaeffer, Rachel Goldberg, and Gandja Monteiro.
Disney previews that the infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth Teen helps break her free from a distorted spell. Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches' Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they're missing. Together, Agatha and this mysterious Teen pull together a desperate coven and set off down, down, down The Road…

"Agatha All Along" premiered at just the right moment to remind fans that this series is the total package. The Real Perspectives had the privilege of screening the episodes before it's debut, and fans of the supernatural are in for a real treat. The show picks up where the 2021 series left off, with Agatha breaking free of Wanda's spell and embarking on a journey down Witches' Road to regain her powers with the help of Teen while they navigate the trials and tribulations to make it to the end of the road. The journey is very reminiscent of the classic "Wizard of Oz." The series is filled with genuine comedy, horror, scare, and adventure, and Hahn gets her moment to shine. She is absolutely fantastic in the role. With a pedigree of substantiative credits under her belt that includes both television and movies, Hahn sinks her teeth into Agatha and delivers a charismatic performance that is wickedly layered, enjoyable, and fun, bringing forth its own identity and setting it apart from other series in the MCU. Joe Locke (HeartStopper) and Aubrey Plaza's (Parks and Recreation) performances were equally fantastic, being scene stealers in their enjoyable roles. The musical numbers, cinematography, and special effects elevated the series on a level that was vividly eventful.
"Agatha All Along" is not just great; it's actually one of Disney's best television series to date. Feeling more like an immersive event rather than a spinoff, you definitely do not want to miss this series.
