Ironheart is finally here! Marvel's new cinematic series, led by Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, the titular hero, premiered on June 24 exclusively on Disney+ with three of its six episodes, with the remaining three episodes releasing on July 1.
Riri Williams first appeared in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022) as a savy tech expert and MIT student who created a virbranium detector that caught the attention of the CIA, leading to the discovery of vibranium deep beneath the ocean, which triggered a series of events with Namor, ruler of the underwater world Talokan and Wakanda. Riri quickly became an instant fan favorite, which led to her own series.
Set shortly after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the new series, created by Chinaka Hodge and produced by Ryan Coogler, follows Riri after she returns home to Chicago and pits technology against magic when Riri is determined to make her mark on the world. Her unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins, aka "The Hood."

Starring alongside Thorne are Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Regan Aliyah, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam, Anji White, and Sacha Baron Cohen.
Ironheart explores Riri's origin story, revealing her backstory and several exciting ties to Tony Stark's Iron Man. In a test of courage, Riri works to establish her own legacy and prove why she deserves to be Tony's successor of the Iron Suit, which will hopefully lead to a more substantial role in the MCU moving forward.
The first three episodes of Ironheart are currently streaming on Disney+.
