"Criminal Minds: Evolution" is back for its newest season with the return of a fan favorite

The newest season of Paramount's hit series Criminal Minds: Evolution is back and premiered exclusively on Thursday, May 8. The hit police drama, which originated as Criminal Minds on CBS and ran for 15 years (2005-2020), found new life with its reboot in 2022 exclusively on Paramount+. The series follows a group of criminal profilers who work for the FBI as members of its Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU), investigating crimes and analyzing the country's most twisted criminal minds. The new season (Criminal Minds Season 18 or Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3) picks up six months after the prisoners attack the notorious Sicarius Killer Elias Voit, leading his restless followers on the dark web to begin wreaking havoc all over the country.
Created by Messer and Jeff Davis and executive produced by 20th Television and CBS Studios, the new season, consisting of 10 episodes, will release new episodes every Thursday through its finale on July 10 and promises its most exciting season to date as the team races against time to stop the nefarious group from killing more innocents and is forced to work alongside an increasingly unpredictable Voit who has his own agenda.

Fans can eagerly anticipate the return of Matthew Gray Gubler, who portrayed fan favorite Special Agent Dr. Spencer Reid during the show's original run. The original crime drama has been officially renewed for an exciting season 19, promising more intense drama, complex cases, and expertise from each member of the prolific team.
