Get ready for more "KevOnStage"! The hit comedy series Churchy is back for Season 2, promising more laughs and hijinks in its sophomore season on BET+. Created and executive produced by comedian Kevin "KevOnStage" Fredericks, the series stars Fredericks as Corey Carr Jr., the son of a megachurch leader, whose life takes an unexpected turn when he's bypassed for leadership and packs up his dreams and heads to Lubbock, Texas, with lofty ambitions to build his own ministry from the ground up.
Since its premiere back in February 2024, Churchy quickly became the No. 1 scripted comedy series on BET+ in its opening week. The new season will carry 10 episodes, all of which will be released at once on August 21.
Created by Richard A. Washington and David Murphy and directed by Jared Leaf, Season 2 follows Pastor Corey Carr Jr. as he inherits leadership of Bethlehem Temple, along with a surprise book of debts. He and his wildly unqualified church crew must navigate the daily headaches of ministry life, all while fending off a vengeful rival's plan to replace the church with a trampoline park.

Returning series regulars include Mark JP Hood, Lexi Allen, and Anthony Elfonzia, Quin Walters, and Tahir Moore, alongside new additions Jasmine Luv and Nic Few. Guest stars for the second season include Tabitha Brown, Kirk Franklin, Keith Lee, and Tony Baker.
In addition to Churchy, BET has greenlit The Hospital, another original series from Fredericks, fully supporting his "brand of outlandish and relatable humor resonating with existing audiences and gaining broader reach". The new satirical sketch comedy series will offer a behind-the-scenes look at what happens when you mix improv comedy with total medical negligence. Mostly improvised by a mix of established and emerging comedic actors, stand-up comedians, and social media stars, the four-episode series is set to premiere on BET linear on September 10. Adding to the star power, LeBron James and Maverick Carter serve as executive producers for both Churchy and The Hospital.
Don't miss the second season of Churchy, exclusively available on BET+ on August 21.
