The third season of CBS's number 1 drama "Tracker" returns tonight with new storylines and exciting new cases to solve. Based on The Never Game, by Jeffery Deaver, Justin Hartley is back as everyone's favorite lone-wolf survivalist, Colter Shaw. This season family dynamics are at the forefront which will see Colter teaming up with his estranged older brother Russell, played by fan favorite Jensen Ackles.
Following last season's explosive finale, Colter is wrestling with hard truths about his family's history. In the wake of these shocking revelations, and aided by his trusted team, Colter must put the past in the rearview to focus on what he does best: using his instincts and survival skills to find the missing and collect rewards.
Season 3 picks up after Season 2's cliffhanger surrounding the death of Colter's father, shrouded in mystery, where Colter had long suspected that Russell was responsible for fatally pushing their father off a cliff. In the finale, it was revealed that Otto Waldron pushed Ashton off the cliff at the request of Colter's mother, Mary, raising more questions than answers and further complicating the dynamics between him and his family.
In the two-part premiere, as Colter grapples with the shocking truth surrounding his father's death, Russell joins forces with his brother to help track down the missing wife and daughter of one of Reenie's clients. Their reunion finds them mixed up in a chain of events involving a sinister underground operation known as "The Process."
Original cast members Eric Graise and Abby McEnany, who played Bobby Exley and Velma Bruin, will not return for Season 3, Fiona Rene returns as fan favorite Reenie Greene, along with Wendy Crewson as Mary Dove Shaw, Chris Lee as Randy, and Alex Fernandez as Otto Waldron.
The new season is fresh with crisp dialogue, and a few well-timed comedic moments that balances the more serious cases Colter finds himself in. As the season continues to delve into Colter's deep family secrets with emotion and heart, "Tracker" continues to prove why it's more than just your average procedural and why it continues to be the number 1 drama on television.
The third season premieres Sunday, October 19 at 8 pm ET on CBS. All episodes are available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+.
