The highly anticipated trailer for Captain America: Brave New World is here. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios, Marvel dropped the trailer on Friday, featuring Anthony Mackie as "Captain America," Sam Wilson. The film will officially release in theaters on February 14, 2025.

Directed by Julius Onah and produced by Kevin Feige and Nate Moore, Louis D'Esposito and Charles Newirth also serve as executive producers.

The trailer teases lots of action and political intrigue, with the weighty legacy of the shield left behind by Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans. This is the franchise's fourth installment, and the plot follows after the events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney+ in 2021, with Sam Wilson fully embracing his duty as Captain America.

In the trailer, the newly elected US president, Thaddeus Ross, played by Harrison Ford (in his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut), recruits Captain America to officially work for the government. Sam certainly has good reasons to question Ross' motives and his willingness for the new partnership. He asks what happens if they disagree on how to manage a situation. Of course, he remembers that Ross (then played by the late William Hurt) had Sam and the other Avengers arrested in Captain America: Civil War.

The action picks up when Sam is immediately thrust into an international conflict. While Marvel remains tight-lipped about the plot, it is revealed that Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly) is the prime suspect, leading him through a dangerous chase and ultimate showdown with the monstrous Red Hulk, teased in the trailer.

The trailer also features few familiar faces: Danny Ramirez returns as former Air Force lieutenant Joaquin Torres, and Tim Blake Nelson is back as Samuel Sterns, AKA The Leader, returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) after a 16-year absence since 2008's The Incredible Hulk.

The movie also stars Liv Tyler, who returns as Betty Ross, Giancarlo Esposito, Xosha Roquemore, Shira Haas, and Seth Rollins.
