After a grueling 18-month wait, the highly anticipated series "Bosch: Legacy" returns for its third and final season exclusively on Prime Video and Amazon Freevee today with four of it's ten episodes. The bittersweet season marks the conclusion of one of the longest-running franchises. "Bosch: Legacy," developed by Michael Connelly, Tom Bernardo, and Eric Overmyer, is a sequel to the hit series "Bosch," which ran for an impressive seven seasons from 2014 to 2021 on Prime Video. The series stars the venerable Titus Welliver (Deadwood, Argo, Live By Night) as former LAPD detective Harry Bosch, turned private investigator.

Produced by Fabrik Entertainment and MGM Amazon Studios, the final season, based on Michael Connelly's best-selling novels Desert Star and The Black Ice, picks up with a four-episode arc from season two's cliffhanger with a nod to the original "Bosch" series. The season premiere does not immediately answer the burning questions season two finale presented as fans were left wondering if Bosh had killed Kurt Dockweiler (David Denman), who kidnapped Maddie, Bosch's daughter, and whether Bosch would work with Preston Borders, his arch nemesis however with an eight month time jump, the season delivers action, suspense and tons of drama the series is known for. Welliver continues to own the iconic role he was born to play as the final season continues to interweaves various storylines with Honey Chandler's campaign to become LA District Attorney and the police investigation of the murder of Kurt Dockweiler.

The murder investigation brings dangerous secrets to light and threatens to ruin the lives of the series' three main characters. The disappearance of a family haunts Harry Bosch and forces him to confront the limits of justice. In a hotly contested race, Honey "Money" Chandler (played by Mimi Rogers) is poised to become the next district attorney of Los Angeles, while Maddie Bosch (played by Madison Lintz) gets entangled in a series of violent follow-home robberies as she wrestles with the challenges of being a patrol cop on the streets of Los Angeles.

The series stars Titus Welliver, Mimi Rogers, Madison Lintz, Stephen A. Chang, Denise G. Sanchez, Scott Klace, Gregory Scott Cummins, Troy Evans, Orla Brady, Chris Browning, Andrea Cortes, Dale Dickey, Paul Calderon, Anthony Gonzales, Tommy Martinez and Maggie Q.

When asked if there was life after "Bosh: Legacy," Welliver remained hopeful during an interview with TV Insider, stating, "There's always a distinct possibility, like they've done with Jack Ryan and Reacher, for spun off feature-length films." Like Welliver, fans remain hopeful that they haven't seen the last of Welliver's iconic character, but in the meantime, they can look forward to another spinoff in the franchise, Ballard, from fan-favorite Detective Renée Ballard starring Maggie Q.

The first four episodes of Bosh: Legacy premiers today following the release of two episodes every Thursday through its series finale on April 17.
