-"That's Mrs. Bellarie to you, motherfuckers."
The second season of Tyler Perry's scandalous series "Beauty in Black," which he created, directed, and executive produced, premiered its first half on September 11 exclusively on Netflix. Fans are already buzzing about the first eight episodes, which follow former exotic dancer Kimmie and her rise to power.
When the series first debuted in 2024, it quickly became an instant hit, with fans eagerly clamoring for a second season, deeply invested in the salacious backstabbings, betrayals, wealth, and ambition. The story centers around Kimmie, who crosses paths with Mallory Bellarie, a wealthy entrepreneur running her successful hair care business alongside her dysfunctional family, running a cosmetics dynasty and a devious trafficking scheme.
With Kimmie's rise to the head of the Bellarie family after accepting a marriage proposal from patriarch Horace Bellarie, who is dying of cancer, she becomes the Chief Operating Officer at Beauty in Black. Of course, no one in the Bellarie family is happy with Kimmie's new status as Queen Bee, especially Mallory. Fans can expect a major showdown in Season 2, as the stakes have never been higher for everyone involved.

Per the official synopsis, the ruthless, backstabbing family behind a beauty brand — and an underground trafficking ring — will face a reckoning. Kimmie, the once-unassuming sex worker in their employ, becomes an unstoppable force and is now the one calling the shots after inheriting sole ownership of the family business.
Teasing what we can expect from the new season, Perry tells Netflix's Tudum, "Fans are in for a wild ride as Kimmie steps into her new power as the head of Beauty in Black and the Bellarie family. This season, she's a force no one will see coming—and no matter how many try, nothing can stand in her way."
"I can't wait for fans to discover just how crazy and unpredictable this new season is," Perry continues. "All their favorite characters return, and the wild twists are more thrilling and jaw-dropping than ever before."
The series cast includes:
Taylor Polidore Williams as Kimmie
Crystle Stewart as Mallory
Ricco Ross as Horace Bellarie
Julian Horton as Roy
Steven G. Norfleet as Charles
Debbi Morgan as Olivia
Richard Lawson as Norman
Charles Malik Whitfield as Jules
